The ICTM Study Group on Music Archaeology was founded in the early 1980s. Since then a series of conference proceedings has been published. Some of these volumes are out of print, others can still be ordered. For more information, visit the the homepage of the ICTM Study Group on Music Archaeology.
Instead of conference proceedings, Ekho Verlag publishs a series of anthologies dedicated to specific research topics previosly discussed on ICTM Study Group on Music Archaeology symposia and joint-meetings with other study groups, but not exclusively based on conference papers. The first volume will be Music and Ritual – Bridging Material and Living Cultures (Raquel Jiménez Pasalodos, ed.), and published in the fall of 2013.
